From January, we're embarking on an aggressive retailer acquisition campaign and looking for a driven salesperson to join the team in December. You will be one of only two salespeople in the company.
The primary goal of the role will be to bring new retailers onto the platform, getting them integrated and set up as sellers. Targets will be provided by the Head of Merchant Relations and commission can be earned once a retailer has successfully integrated into the platform.
The role will involve taking ownership of the entire sales cycle:
? prospecting targets
? making initial approach via cold call / email
? secure meetings with key decision makers
? attend meetings and close agreement
? oversee integration process
? manage account and remain first point of contact
Main requirements for the candidate are as follows:
? Minimum one years? experience in sales
? Ideal candidate will have ecommerce experience ? if not, then experience in web or tech related sales
? Degree is preferable but not essential
? Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
? Problem-solver willing to take ownership of problems
? Dynamic and versatile
? Good at dealing with setbacks
Because it is a start-up, the role will also involve dabbling in many other areas of the business including product design, marketing and overall business strategy.
