Gmail now autocompletes you even more

It's super handy to search for an email contact in Gmail using autocomplete when you're not sure of the exact email address. You type in a few letters that you think may be right, and Google does the rest, finding the email addresses that match.?Now, Google is bringing the same autocomplete feature to the content of your emails.

Need to look for "bread," as in "Please bring home wheat bread!" or "I'm going to be making great bread in this new gig!"? That's the kind of help autocomplete will give you when you type a word or words in Gmail's search box.

Autocomplete "predictions will be tailored to the content in your email, so you can save time and get the information you want faster than ever before," writes Isaac Elias, Google software engineer on the Gmail blog.?

As shown in the photo above,?"For example, you might now get?lax reservation?or?lax united?as predictions after typing 'lax' if you have received an email with a flight confirmation for your trip to Los Angeles in your inbox recently."

Autocomplete in English is scheduled to roll out over the next few days, Elias said, and "will?follow with more languages over the next few months. While initially improved autocomplete will not be available for Google Apps customers, we plan to bring this feature to Apps domains in the future."
