New Mental Health Center For Men In South South Florida - www.mensmentalhealthcenter.com

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 30, 2013 - PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. -- A new mental health center for men is now opened in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This new, Men's Mental Health Center, which was founded by Psychotherapist, Dr. Percy Ricketts, is designed to help men keep their mental health intact. According to Dr. Ricketts, while many traditional mental health facilities focus on meeting the needs of women and children, there are very few places in the entire United States that focus on meeting the very unique and specific mental health needs of men. He indicated that historically men are not socialized to seek help, because they feel help-seeking is associated with weakness, being out of control, and not being able to manage their own affairs appropriately. Consequently, many men refuse to seek help, unless they are in crisis. The good news, according to Dr. Ricketts, is that men?s outlooks appear to have been changing slowly over the years, and there is a more hopeful future for those who desire to improve. He indicated that men today seem more willing to express their feelings openly, which would never have been the case even a decade or so ago. Still, ?he suggested, if this positive trend is to continue, men need to be educated on their physical and mental health and they must be encouraged to seek help and to get regular check-ups and tune-ups. In order for this to be realized, however, he suggested that the ?right? environment must be created, especially for men's mental health care - one in which men feel safe, where there is confidentially, understanding and empathy, and where they can feel free to remove their masks and express their deepest, hidden feelings and opinions. This, according to Dr. Ricketts, is the main idea behind the Men?s Mental Health Center - a place designed to help men keep their mental health intact.

Whether there are concerns about their personal lives, family, work, spirituality or relationships, or, they might just need a professional sounding board or a mental health tune-up, men will find it all, here, at the Men?s Mental Health Center, Pembroke Pines. At the Men's Mental Health Center, there are a number of products and services that are designed especially with the unique mental health needs of men in mind. They include maintenance and tune-up mental health packages for men, which are tailored specifically to help them address their own individual, specific concerns with a seasoned male mental health professional. Each man leaves the center with a special " Man's Take-home Care Package" that is filled with numerous useful resources just for himself.
