Aldermore Bank picks up core banking platform Tornado from Ubiquiem

Aldermore Bank has implemented core banking platform Tornado from Ubiquiem, which will enable it to manage savings accounts, paying market leading rates and offering online account opening and access.

The lender said that the new offering facilities customers to open accounts online in less than 15 minutes and eliminates the need to visit the branch.

The newly introduced online banking platform also offers full Internet banking capabilities, claims Aldermore Bank.

Aldermore Bank CIO Al Southall said the firm has picked up Ubiquiem as it recognized the need for excellent technology to provide their customers with great products and an outstanding service.

"As champion of British SMEs, partnering with an innovative new British SME in the Financial Technology space was an additional bonus," Southall added.

Marc Vernet of Ubiquiem said, "Tornado however helps to simplify the business of banking by combining case management and comprehensive banking capability with good design and usability and consequently reduces the time business owners need to spend banking.
